quiet my mind
quiet my mind to
see with both eyes
that peace is found
in Who found me
and You found me
I spent my twenties moving from place to place to place.
Uprooting my short roots and planting myself in new fields and forests.
From Orlando to Milwaukee to Northern Wisconsin to West Virginia to St. Louis back to Northern Wisconsin to Nashville to Austin and back to Nashville.
I’ve been all over the place, spending my time learning roads and zip codes, driving the wrong way down one-way streets and seeking new corners of complete peace.
For all I have felt.
For all I have done.
For all I have wondered.
I have always been found.
Some days I felt lost, but all along I was found.
Found in a love unlike any other.
Found in a hope of assurance.
Found in a peace that continues to pass my understanding and promise a forever echoing
found.
What a beautiful word it is.
found.
And when I fail to find the words, my mind comes back to one:
found.
And that word can’t help but bring peace.
With hope,
Tanner Olson
