All the Things
I Say to God
Book Launch Team
Welcome to the All the Things I Say to God book launch team!
I cannot wait for this book to be in the world.
Let me get straight to it:
Authors cannot launch a book alone.
We need help.
And who better to help than friends?
People are more likely to buy a book when a friend suggests they should get it.
How many times have you been chatting with a friend and they say, “Oh you have to read this book!” and then you go and read that book? It happens to me all the time.
All the Things I Say to God is an incredibly special story. My hope and prayer for this book is:
That it would be a helpful resource for families and churches. Prayer can be intimidating. It doesn’t have to be. Us humans are great at overthinking and making something harder than it actually is. God is always inviting us to speak with him, to be with him.
That this book would encourage children to pray. Have you ever heard a child pray before? It is beautiful. When prayer is a foundational piece of childhood it is more likely to be part of their lives when they are adults.
That this book would strengthen relationships. Relationships with God. Relationships with siblings. Relationships with parents. Relationships with neighbors. I don’t know if you know this, but prayer isn’t just a powerful thing, but a beautiful thing. Our lives are changed when our lives are rooted in prayer.
That this book would spark conversations and lead to a deeper relationship with God. When I was a little boy my family would gather together before bed to pray. We would stand together in the hallway and say,
“Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, Thy love be with me through the night, and keep me til the morning light. Amen.”
My parents modeled for me what prayer was about, showing me that it wasn’t something strange or weird. They helped instill in me confidence that I could speak to God about anything and everything.
The goal for this book is to not make a Bestselling list or to sell a million copies. I do not care about that. The goal for this book is that it would be helpful and hopeful. This is what I have been praying day after day.
“Lord, may All the Things I Say to God be a helpful and hopeful resource for your church.”
That is the prayer I am praying and that is a prayer I ask you to pray as well.
By creating this launch team I am doing my best to honor the book. I do not want to have any regrets when it comes to releasing this book into the world. I’m giving it everything I have and that means I must ask for help.
As part of the book launch team I am not going to ask you to do anything wild.
I’ll ask you to post about the book on your social media.
I’ll ask you to leave a review for the book on Amazon and/or Goodreads.
I’ll ask you to encourage your church to buy some copies to give away or have on hand.
I’ll ask you to pray for this book and those who read it.
And I will thank you more than you’d like.
