questions & hope
hope continues through
every question
every wondering
every fear
hope continues through
Maybe we just need to acknowledge that this is a strange season.
Really strange.
The stories on the news do not seem real.
The empty shelves at the grocery store appear to be out of a movie.
The conversations we are having are frightening and fear producing.
We are living something wild.
The word cancelled is found almost everywhere we look. Concerts, sports, schools, and work are being cancelled.
But for all that is cancelled, hope cannot be.
Hope cannot be cancelled.
And (again) I find myself holding onto hope.
Hope.
I don’t have many answers during this time, but I do have hope.
And questions.
Don’t you?
I’m trying to ignore the questions that plague me while I try to sleep and focus on some that are helpful.
Here are a few questions I’m asking myself during this strange season:
How can I use this time for good?
What will I create?
Who should I reach out to?
Where should I make donation?
How am I spreading hope?
But there are two more questions I’m asking.
Two questions I’ve learned to ask over the past few years.
Two questions I’ve shared here before.
God, what are you up to?
How can I be part of what you are doing?
Because He is up to something and His invitation remains.
With hope,
Tanner Olson
