i’m searching for new words
to express the depth
of who i was
of who i’ve become
of who i’m becoming
It is hard to put into words what was, is, and will be, isn’t it?
And it’s just as difficult to find the words to explain who you are and the person you are becoming.
I’m often tripped up by the questions:
Who are you?
What do you do?
What do you hope to do?
Deep within answers swarm, but the right words are hard to find.
So, I fall back on the truth inside.
I cling to the answer that has yet to fail:
I am His.
That’s where I’m starting.
I am His.
That’s who I’ll always be.
I am His.
And that’s what I’ll keep coming back to.
I am His.
