I am becoming
Listen to the poem on Spotify.
Listen to the poem on Apple Music.
I can feel myself becoming okay with what has come to be.
No, this isn’t giving up.
And I’m not lying to myself.
This is becoming.
One prayer at a time.
One day at a time.
One honest sentence at a time.
I am unlearning what I should have never started to believe and I am beginning to believe the truth He has spoken over me.
Like, I am forgiven and chosen and loved.
I am giving up what was holding me down and giving back what was keeping me from moving forward.
These days, I am finding the light in the darkness and the hope in the heaviness.
It’s always been there, but sometimes it takes time to see what has always been.
And I am giving myself over to the hands of grace and resting in the peace of His promises.
I am becoming okay with what has come to be.
With hope,
