And Soon
And Soon
And soon you’ll be on the other side of this, but right now you’re going through it.
Another uphill season of confusion and uncertainty, wondering if where you are is where you will always be.
Comparison creeps and calls, convincing you to contemplate if continuing is even worth it after all?
Another week of unending nights of fighting the lies as you wonder how and why does this always seem to happen to me?
Thoughts of, “no one understands” and “how can this be part of God’s master plan” and “I just don’t know if I can.”
And even when you have nothing to say your mind still finds a way to ask and pray, “God, will it all be okay?”
All you can do is take it one day at a time, one small step at a time as you change with the changes.
When disappointments and disbeliefs, questions and seasons of grief come your way,
Let your heart feel it.
Let your hands hold it.
Let your soul sit with it.
Let your strength surrender it.
Ache and question
and sing and cry.
Listen and wait
and pray and try.
You do not have to get over it, but you do get to go through it.
And soon, hurt will turn into wholeness.
Questions will crash into the answers.
Fear will turn into trust.
Shame will turn into a story worth sharing.
Lost will become found.
And soon, you’ll see you weren’t lost at all.
You were just figuring it out as you found your way forward and through the change.
Someday you’ll be on the other side of this, but right now you’re going through it.
Keep going through it.
And soon, darkness will meet the light.
Grace will make all things right.
Yesterday will become today.
And soon, everything will be okay.
