You Alone (prayer)

Won’t you hear us as we pray?
As we come before you with another day.
Before You we sit.
Before You we are.
And You,
You are before all things.
And all things work through You
and for You and with You.
And all things are held together by You and You alone.
And when I am alone, help me to know I am seen and known and I am not alone.
That You see me.
And You know me.
And You love me.
And that is enough for me.
You bring light to the darkness and hope to the hopeless,
and sometimes I feel like I am somehow, someway caught between the two.
But even in the in-between, You are there with me.
Lead my heart to wonder and wander in the depths of where we are going,
of where You have already been, to walk with You through the now and then.
And then, may I see with clear eyes that through all of this and that,
through what was and what will be,
You have always been.
And You alone are enough for me.
