somehow someway

but i know
the seasons will change
and the sky will rain
the fog will clear
and love will cast out fear
and i know
somehow someway
i’ll be okay

My list to-do list is a long list.
I’ve been trying to stop saying
I’m busy
but … I’m busy.

Maybe you feel that, too.

It is steady season after steady season after steady season.

There is always something.
And then another thing.

You get it.
I feel stretched, but I’m also not as flexible as i used to be.
I haven’t grown and somehow my toes are getting further from my fingertips.
But I’ll keep reaching.
And I’ll keep stretching.
And I’ll keep trying.

And through all of this.
And though all of what will be.

I know somehow.
I know someway.

I’ll be okay.
Because through all that was.
And through all that has become.
Somehow.
Someway.
I was okay.

I often remind myself that other people have been where I am.
And if one man can go through this, another one can.

And I can.

There is always going to be another thing.

And whatever comes next, I’ll be okay.

I’ll be okay.

Peace,

Tanner Olson
