fear.
Between the truth I believe and the questions that keep me from rest is a fear that remains heavy on my chest.
A thousand lies, falling and rising, as they mix with memories and thoughts of, “What if?”
Fear seeks to fracture my faith beyond repair, to leave me wondering if You even care.
Fear leads me to believe forgiveness has been erased and grace has been put to waste.
But fear has never been a good enough reason to keep me from getting up and stepping into a new season.
And so I’ll go.
And as I go I’ll hold fast to the beauty of breathing
and remember He is still in the business of redeeming.
Through the fog and clear, I’ll continue to sing a song of praise in the face of fear.
I’ll let love in and watch everything change as hope draws near.
Fear is a good liar,
but I’m learning to listen to what hope has to say.
.. .. ..
With hope,
Tanner Olson
