Episode 69, A Word for the Waiting, features a beautiful poem by poet, Mia Baker.
Below you can find the words to Surrender.

how long it’s taken me,
but at last i see
victory
begins with surrender.

with an inhale,
followed by an exhale,
followed by a repetition
of the same.

in, out. in, out.

over and over and over,
holding to hope through the night,
striving toward the morning light,
with my heart and soul wrapped tight
around the words,
“take heart.
I have overcome the world.”

because i believe it’s true.
i do.

and i know i can count on You
through all the foreign and new,
because You are my Anchor.

my Maker
and Savior
and Anchor.

and people might deem it
a contradiction
that couldn’t be true,
but i’ll call it a paradox,
that when i let go
and give control to You,
that’s when i’m most free.
that’s my victory.

yes, that’s the best place
that i could ever be.
