love He woke

What is it that you need to hear?

A few years ago someone told me that I was brave.

I didn’t know that I needed to hear someone say that, but looking back, I needed it.

I’ve kept those words close.

There are a lot of things we need to hear.

Perhaps what you need to hear is something you already know.

On Sunday I was reminded that I was forgiven.

My sins are no more because of what Jesus has done.

And I know this.

But I needed to hear it.

And I know I’ll need to hear it again.

And again.

When we keep the truth of forgiveness close, we keep ourselves close to our Forgiver.

And why would I want to be far from God?

Why would I want to put distance between me and the one who set me free?

I’ve started making room for the truth in my life.

And when you make room for the truth it leaves little room for the lies.

Let’s let the lies meet the truth.
