Goodbye February
As I look back on February I see many things that I wanted to get done, but didn’t.
I see unread text messages, a growing to-do list, and unanswered prayers.
I see moments of joy and moments of loss; moments of fear and moments of bliss.
I see the brown grass thinking about becoming green and the naked trees ready to clothe themselves with leaves.
I see the desire for peace in myself and in the world.
I see the steps forward and I see the steps back and moments of stillness.
I see God and I see His goodness and I know He sees me, too.
I see waiting and wondering and wandering.
I see this in you as well.
In all of this I see how we are being made new.
Slowly but certainly.
And I see us marching forward into another uncertain tomorrow with faith.
A tomorrow that is filled with hope and change and love.
A tomorrow that is filled with questions and rest and growth.
A tomorrow that is filled with pain and grace and a morning cup of coffee.
I will step into tomorrow with faith.
And I hope you’ll join me.
