through the crack comes the light
and for a second i believe
everything will be alright
i’ll be alright
Maybe it only takes a second for us to see that everything is going to be alright.
We were flying from Chicago to Germany and I was close to losing it. My mind played every worst case scenario as we flew high above shark infested waters.
My best friend turned to me and said,
everything will be alright.
And that’s what I needed to hear.
And maybe you do, too.
Often I forget that there is beauty found in the brokenness.
I forget a flower blooms through the breaking sidewalk.
I forget a scar tells a story of so much more.
And I forget that through the crack comes the light.
And I need to hear that
everything will be alright.
It won’t be perfect.
But it will be alright.
It won’t be the worst.
But it will be alright.
And I can keep going
knowing everything is alright.
Hold on to that second.
Everything will be alright.
