we are going
to be okay.
right now things aren’t perfect
our normal has changed
our plans have changed
what we know has changed
it’s like every sentence is missing something
It’s like every day is the middle of the movie and we are
wondering how all of this is going to end
it’s like every certainty is being tested and every uncertainty is finding the light
i have this feeling in me
like i’ve forgotten something
i’ve checked my pockets and bags and the trunk of the car
but i can’t seem to find what i’m forgetting
but i know
i know i’m forgetting something
but i also know
through it all
we are going to be okay
even if
things don’t look as they should
even if
every sentence is without a period
even if
this feeling of having forgotten something is with me
even if
well, even if
we are going to be okay.
